Cast Reveals: MJ Bailey

We are pleased as all get out to reveal one of the actors who will be playing a major role in our upcoming Season Three story, CATAMOUNT!

Marcilena (MJ) Bailey is a Chicago-based podcaster with roots extending far beyond the city and two cats that love causing chaos more than they love her work. MJ turned to podcasting in 2018 as an outlet for her love of writing and her interest in acting: the former she had been doing since she was a small child and the latter she admired from afar. When she’s not pondering the human experience or crafting tales based in Filipino folklore, she works as a typical (if not overly efficient) administrator in a nonprofit.

As the head of Miscellany Media Studios. She is the showrunner and sole talent for shows like The Oracle of Dusk, Aishi Online, Temporal Light, and The Mountain’s Heart.

Find her on Twitter @oracleofdusk or the Miscellany Media Studios website – miscellanymedia.online

Bonus Show: Sin-Eating

In this episode, Jas and Steven talk about the historical and mythological context behind the first Witchever Path story, “Squirrels,” we discuss a meso-American deity that encouraged sin for the purposes of then devouring it, and Sticker Mule interrupts the conversation by calling Jas. The new season of Witchever Path starts on Thursday, October 1.

Bonus Show: Talking about the Orisha

Jas and Steven talk about the Orisha. Jas brings some awesome facts, talks about some of the gods of note, and Steven becomes the spirit of mayonnaise (and still regrets it). Zeus gets a new nickname, and more.

Help us fund Season Three

Witchever Path has a lot going on, and as we work to be a better podcast, we also want to be better producers. One of the ways we can do that is that we’re looking to pay our actors, artists, and musicians. So, we’ve started an IndieGoGo for our third season.

We hope you have loved our stories for the past two seasons to invest with us to pay the people who help enrich our podcast, help us tell stories of people that typically don’t get the spotlight shined on them, and bring you the interactive content you love.

What do you get out of it? We have perks ranging from stickers to getting to have your own choice added to a storyline. Read more about it, here.

It’s a crazy time out there. Walk the path with us and take control of a narrative for a while.
